How I Help

Some believe therapy is just for reducing symptoms. Yes, that is very important. But, I hope therapy is a place for people to heal and find meaning along the way as well. My approach is one of empathy, compassion, and warmth as those qualities, I believe, are essential to walk alongside you through this process. With challenging questions and insight, I will help you reduce the symptoms you’ve been experiencing while helping you understand yourself and the world around you more.

Who I Help

I work with individuals, couples, and families in the LGBTQIA+ community. I help people who are looking to find a sense of belonging and purpose. Maybe you’ve been having a hard time focusing or sleeping due to anxiety. Maybe you and your partner can’t get out of a rut or conflict cycle. Maybe it’s hard to find acceptance of who you are. Maybe distress from the past has stayed with you. If any of these examples resonate with you, I would be a great therapist for you.

I want to Hear Your Story

When we meet, you’ll sit across from me and I’ll invite you to do one of the most daring, vulnerable things you can do which is share your stories of adversity. With an educational background in marriage and family therapy, I can collaborate with clients to co-create or "re-author" a new story of growth and healing. What I hope to discover together is that these stories of adversity exist alongside stories of love, resistance, and empowerment as well. The path of recovery from trauma is beautiful and daunting. Better yet, it’s necessary. So, I am here to offer support and guidance on that path.

I want to hear your story. I want to meet you wherever you are and work with you to move closer to where you want to be! Please reach out to me if you feel we would be a good fit to work together on the way toward healing.
